December 2, 2016
London, 01/12/16 – Payment Cloud Technologies (PCT), the London-based FinTech business, is proud to announce today that it has been shortlisted for Best CSR Programme at the industry-acclaimed 2017 Card and Payments Awards.
The nomination is PCT’s third shortlisting in five months, having been named as a finalist in both Best Consumer Banking Initiative and Best New Customer Facing Innovation categories at October’s Emerging Payments Awards.
The shortlisting is in recognition of PCT’s work with strategic partner The Change Account, to allow customers to build a stronger, fairer, and more secure financial future. The Change Account provides customers with a guaranteed prepaid debit Mastercard with innovative budgeting tools including wallets and payment alerts to make it easier for customers to manage their money.

Ian Clowes, CEO, Payment Cloud Technologies, said: ‘We are delighted to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious awards ceremony in the Card and Payments Awards. At PCT, we believe that CSR is exactly that: A responsibility, and never an afterthought. That’s why this nomination is such a significant boost to our company, staff and partners, including The Change Account, who have worked extremely hard to deliver important social and financial change to the people who need it most.’
With an estimated 2.5bn adults lacking a formal bank account worldwide, and 3m adults in the UK alone holding an inappropriate account, initiatives such as The Change Account are crucial in delivering more inclusive financial services to diverse customer bases with different requirements.
PCT is committed to driving positive social and economic change, helping to manage the Change Account programme and overcoming high barriers for new market-entrants via its cloud-based digital banking platform bank.VISION.
The Card & Payments Awards recognise customer service, excellence and innovation in the UK and Irish card and payments industries.
